Jaclyn A. Tomsic, MD, DMD, FACS
Dr. Tomsic is a native westsider, growing up in Elyria and graduating from Elyria Catholic High School. She then attended John Carroll University, Boston University School of Dental Medicine, and Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Tomsic completed a six-year integrated oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at the Detroit Medical Center, which included a PGY1 general surgery ACGME internship with the Department of Surgery at the Detroit Medical Center and chief year of OMF surgery en route to obtaining both her OMFS certificate and medical degree. After graduation she pursued a one-year fellowship in jaw reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, facial plastic surgery and sleep apnea surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Posnick. She then relocated to St. Louis, MO to join a full scope practice at Mercy Hospital STL; during her tenure at Mercy, she proudly obtained both board certification and Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Tomsic is also faculty as an assistant professor within the Department of OMFS at Case Western Reserve University, spending one day a week helping to teach residents and dental students and holds staff privileges with the University Hospitals system. Now back in Cleveland, she is excited to give back and be a part of her hometown community.
